Common Questions About Wood Burning Fireplaces
Are new wood burning fireplaces EPA certified?
Yes. The zero-clearance wood fireplaces we sell from RSF, Renaissance, and Fireplace Xtrordinair meet current EPA standards, burning cleaner and using far less wood than an open masonry fireplace.
Can a wood burning fireplace heat my home?
A high-efficiency wood fireplace can heat a large open area and, with a heat distribution system, move warm air to other rooms. Open masonry fireplaces send most of their heat up the chimney.
How much does wood burning fireplace installation cost?
Use the instant estimate on any model here. It prices the fireplace, the chimney system, and installation. Framing, finish work, and hearth extensions are quoted after the pre-site visit.
How do I convert a wood burning fireplace to gas?
See our gas fireplace inserts and gas logs. Both use your existing fireplace, and we install both.
