Why Choose a New Construction Fireplace
Building a new home or adding a fireplace to an existing room? New construction fireplaces are designed to be framed into a wall during the build process, creating a seamless, built-in look that integrates perfectly with your home's architecture.
New construction models are available in gas, wood, and electric fuel types, and come in everything from traditional single-sided designs to multi-sided see-through units and dramatic linear fireplaces. They're the most versatile category because you're starting with a clean slate.
Barnhill Chimney works with builders and homeowners throughout Central Kentucky on new construction fireplace installations. We'll coordinate with your contractor, handle the framing specifications, and ensure proper venting and gas line placement for a flawless result.

Common Questions About New Construction Fireplaces
When do I need to choose a fireplace during a build?
Before framing. The fireplace and its venting are framed into the wall, so picking the unit early keeps the build on schedule.
Can I put a fireplace in a room without a chimney?
Yes. Direct vent gas and electric fireplaces do not need a masonry chimney, and wood zero-clearance fireplaces use a factory chimney system.
Do you work with builders and remodelers?
Yes. We supply and install fireplaces for new builds and remodels across Central Kentucky and coordinate with framers and finish trades.
What does a new construction fireplace cost?
Use the instant estimate on any model for the unit, venting, and installation, then schedule a pre-site visit for the finish details.
