Barnhill Chimney Company is a local, family-owned business which has been in operation in Lexington for more than ten years. All of our technicians are Chimney Safety Institute of America certified. (Click here to check our individual techs’ certifications!)
The chimney sweep profession is not regulated by the federal government or the state of Kentucky. It is easy for someone to go buy a couple of brushes and a vacuum cleaner and call themselves a chimney sweep. Chimney sweeps certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) are educated, tested thoroughly, and held to high ethical standards.
